About one year ago I discovered the
Misusu Patterns on Instagram and was enthusiastic of all those cool designs! I
immediately ordered 2 of Elles's patterns into my shopping cart and went
straight to work. Both
the Louise and the Lotte had already rolled more than 5 times from underneath
my sewing machine. When I saw that she was looking for testers for the Doris
skirt; I did not have to hesitate for a second to enroll on this. All
her patterns are so fun and ingenious at the same time, this is not different
with the Doris.
At first I thought that the pattern would be mainly beautiful with older girls, but I have to admit that the skirt fits perfectly around my toddler's buttocks. It is certainly a fast-ready project, for which you hardly need any fabric .. so get your leftovers out of your closet and sew! For Anna-Lou her Doris I used jacquard knit from Lily Balou, bought at Mondepot. For the pockets I just turned the fabric around, which ensures me that I immediately had a matching fabric. The light pink border fabric is another one from Seeyouatsix.
The Fit is perfect if you stick to the size chart. So two tips: measure! and hurry up, because it's on sale ;)
And Anna-Lou.. did not want to take off her Doris anymore.
